ROUTE
On September 4, 2005 Steve and Carolyn Usher left for a
six-month campervan tour of Australia and New Zealand. The route began
in Darwin, followed the west coast of Australia around to Perth, east
across the Nullarbor Plain to New South Wales, down to Tasmania, then
back up to Brisbane for Christmas and New Years.
On January 2, 2006 they flew to Auckland, New Zealand. Forty-seven
km south of Auckland their campervan blew it's brand new engine. They
switched gears ...and chassis ...and are now travelling by car, using
cabins in caravan parks. It's turning out to be a whole new adventure
in frugal travel.
